I've noticed that "we're a family" usually comes right before a request to do something outside of normal expectations. They think found a way to make unreasonable demands feel reasonable. I fell for it the first few times, but not anymore. Fiserv is a lot of things, but "family" isn't among them. Sc--w them and their unrealistic expectations.

A family that boots critical Employees to “rebadge”, lose benefits, and any hope of a career path without finding a new job.
Oh, and they can’t come back for three years.
All you have to say is that your family is severely dysfunctional. Ask them if they are sure that they want that.
Do we get a free t shirt that says Fiserv is your family?
That wouldn't work on me. I'd give them the cold shoulder and when they ask why, remind them about 'family' and tell them that is how I treat family.
Work ain't family
My team never did that. lol wtf is that
FiSlave always errors on the side of taking away R&R, requiring work time beyond 40 hours, expecting you to join incident calls at 3AM on a Saturday, requiring you to come in when the roads are pure ice, clawing back RSUs and bonuses, not cleaning the buildings regularly, "eliminating positions," requiring badge-outs, etc.
Agree with you on this @OP. If any Fiserv employees fall ill or are in a hospital bed tell me which "family" is gonna be there. Fiserv will have the replacement on deck, deny your FMLA, and also tell you to repay back that "retention" bonus. This goes for any company but Fiserv specifically, always make sure you're looking out for #1 and that's always gotta be yourself.
