Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Why is senior leadership never held accountable?

How do they keep getting away with things that would get anyone else in trouble?

Fake it till you make it.

Those are the words of an incompetent senior leadership who has mastered this craft and has never been this close to power.

Unfortunately, this will run out if those rumors are true about Citi and boy will it su-k to be in their position lol

@b8 - PREACH! DOING THIS FOR YEARS, YO! QUIETLY QUITTING IN ACTION. EMPLOYEES THAT DO BARE MINIMUM JUST TO SCRAP BY ARE ONES SAFE IN THEIR JOBS!

TRUIST QUIETLY QUITS ON TEAMMATES. NO DISCRETIONARY 401K MATCH. BILL AND EXECS GET MILLIONS IN BONUSES EVERY YEAR AND TALK ABOUT HOW GREAT THE BANK DID LAST YEAR BUT THEY CAN'T AFFORD A DISCRETIONARY 1% 401K MATCH. SMH

This really seems unfair—how was leadership supposed to know outsourcing to India and the Philippines could be a risk? And outsourced labor certainly couldn't have anything to do with teammate information being leaked. Next you're going to complain that it was irresponsible to sneak an article on The Source on the 17th and wait until today to send an email.

This what we call corruption and greed. They aren’t held accountable because the people who would hold them accountable, would also no longer reap the benefits lol. So, it’s easier for them to break the rules, let the rest of us go, so they can make sure they keep the lights on in their multi million dollar homes in South Park.

@ae This exactly. Do the job (not more), collect the cash, take care of yourself and your family over everything. Don't think about work before or after work. Use all of your sick time. You can be medically sick "of work." Use all of the education and certification resources made available. Take a long lunch. Take a nap in your car with white noise and an alarm when someone else takes a smoke break. Learn to meditate in the bathroom stall. When asked, describe in detail how hard your job would be for a d-mb@55. Identify other coworkers who seem like "normal human beings" and interact as such. Let the corporate purple drink flow past you. You are in the belly of a beast that is bleeding to death, could be worse.

The same individuals who receive your concerns are also the ones who look into, report, and make decisions about them. The narrative is under their control, and the system is designed to defend itself. By now, they are all proficient writers of false statements. By now, they are all adept at filling in for one another. It has become a proficient machine of weeding out those who have concerns through retaliation from every corner.

My suggestion is conform, put your head down and find happiness in having a paycheck. Talk to a therapist. If you can't find a way to ignor the unfairness, blockout the nepotism and favortism, then find a new job.
Nothing is going to change.
