Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

2025 STI 401k contribution

I had set up a 6% 401k contribution on my bonus payout to get the full company match. However, the 2025 STI payout paycheck doesn't have any 401k deduction. Therefore, I am guessing there won't be a company match. Anyone else seeing this? I have reached out to HR via email for clarification.

Now that I can see 401K I can confirm that There is no company match on STI contribution.

As of your last day at work, there can be no additional contributions to your 401k. It’s the law. No money from the STI will go into your 401k post RIF.

@aq they’ve stated below that they lower it to 6%, to get the VZ match, after being laid off at the end of the last year.

@a9 are you still an active employee or were you impacted by the layoffs?

I believe you lose the ability to contribute and right to the 6% match once you are no longer a Verizon employee. So it will only be in effect for your last paycheck.

@a7 your paystub shows all the deductions and taxes being taken out of your STI. In my case I don't see a 401k deduction like I saw in previous years

@a6 if you were with Verizon last year and had setup on Netbefits account the percentage of your bonus towards 401k, you can see it in the bonus paystub last year. I do see my contribution on my bonus paycheck last year

@OP my paystub shows the 401k contribution. You do need to setup bonus contributions separately in Fidelity

@a6 this is not true, VZ does the 6% match on STI.

@a5 your paystub might be available but the STI payment is a separate check which you will see tomorrow.

There is no company match on STI contribution by design, but my own deduction took place as scheduled

Interesting since STI doesn’t come out until tomorrow.
