Print out a hard copy of all business card contacts in Outlook email so that you can program them into to your personal phone after leaving.

I knew one manager who stopped by the Verizon store and switched their corporate phone telephone number with their personal phone number so that they would have all of their industry contacts on their personal cell phone account.

@zh who has personal belongings in an office in this day and age? Or an office at all? The only good thing about hot desking is you can quit and leave immediately with everything you own since you walked in with it that morning anyway.
But when you quit, just leave, dont make a big deal out of it, dont write a long resignation letter, stick to the basics and facts and just go. Nobody gives a F and no one would remember anyway the day or two after you’re gone.
Some people really overthink this $hit

Take a snapshot of any unused vacation. Also, I had a new job lined up for a month before I resigned. I used that time to remove all of my personal belongings from my office. I put in my notice to resigne 3 weeks before I started my new job. At that time, I told my manager I could stay for two weeks to transition out or I could leave the same day I officially handed in my resignation. The look on his face was priceless. I was in control and it was nothing that he could do about it.

Get all your business straight in the company without telling anybody, then if you need the money from the two weeks, give two weeks notice, if not just leave without a notice. That kind of bullcr@p that you are not profesional if you do not leave a two weeks notice; it was on the past when the companies allows to stay the two weeks.

If service is good leave 20% or higher. If not, leave 15% tips, since most are paid below minimum wage.

Download all you need before giving notice. EM will disable sending emails externally as soon as you notify.

Just leave say nothing. I wanted to cuss out my supervisor and manager when I left. I said nothing and walked out. I left and retired from that awful exxon. I do have to deal with exxon for my lump sum payout but not those evil snakes I worked with. I could have burned all my bridges as I never want to work in oil and gas again. I dont want to work again period. It was the best decision of my life.

Leave at the beginning of the month and not the end since the health insurance should continue until the end of the month.

@OP Usual stuff: gather HR contacts for payroll/benefits, get any personal data off your work devices, secure references, etc., etc.

Just keep it simple and professional. Read anything they give you to sign very thoroughly before you sign it.

Have a face-to-face conversation with your manager to tell them. Be respectful. Immediately follow up with an email that says the same thing and refer to the conversation you had. I would even draft the email in advance of the conversation.

Don’t sweat it. Be professional. Write a very simple note stating you’re leaving in two weeks and you will do whatever is necessary to maintain operation. But at the end of the day, no one cares. When I left not a single manager from the LT stopped by to say goodbye or asked why I was leaving. One of the managers I ran into looked at me and said you’re making a big mistake. Really showed their true colors.
