Is it common to receive an asset inventory request? Do they do that occasionally as part of a normal audit?

If you are talking about an email request that verifies what CVS owned electronic assets are in your possession, then yes. I have received that several years in a row.
That email was sent in error. Disregard
I believe that they are so disorganized given the offshoring and churn of IT professionals over the years that they have misplaced some records and regularly need to verify what they do have. I voluntarily retired three years ago and they were clueless /surprised about what I had . Not to say that it may not be a precursor for layoff but it does indicate confusion for resource management.
In all my years there, no.
I have monitors from 2014...jeesh
I got that email late this afternoon. Did everyone in the company receive that?
This is the first time I have gotten that request and in light of the 100+ layoffs this week in Aetna Commercial Sales, I honestly took it as a precursor to me being let go in the coming weeks. I assume they want to know what equipment they will need for me to send back.. hopefully I’m wrong but mentally preparing for the worst.
