@12f oh they reduced salaries alright. 1000 jobs being paid with 200 salaries now haha. No not saying that one person is doing a good job, but obviously we all see CF doesn’t care about quality they care about optics.
@a5 if indeed 1/4 of VSP positions are being backfilled and the aim VSP was to reduce administrative expenses, one has to wonder the wisdom of the 1/4 who are being backfilled. In addition, it was announced to leadership when VSP was released as a concept that no backfills would be permitted as the goal was to reduce salary.

Heard a rumor about some layoffs happening today, but just in certain areas. I'm guessing VSP did not achieve the desired cost savings in those areas. Yet ELT wants to fill about 1/4 of the open positions internally, which means those internal candidates would be leaving their existing position.
@OP I was just about to post about this CareFirst Connect ghag shows how incredibly disconnected our ELT is. ELT needs to halt worrying more about looking good for the community and focus on the awful moral of the leftover employees that are drowning and thrown a life jacket that’s failed inspection while telling us to keep staying afloat while there warm on a lifeboat drinking coffee. Focusing on enrollment and claim quality and timing when half the areas support is gone is like trying to make chili when all you have is a can of expired beans.
