Thread regarding Comcast layoffs

More layoffs today

XOC, Construction and Headend are on the cutting block this time being told immediately to go home and they will be paid till March and start applying. I know CMO and supervisors and below are affected. This one so far seems to be a lot more quiet than the removal of divisions.

@1s7 the top performers cost money and who needs performance and productivity when you can have an an army offshore in Chennai. Its a national security issue. Stock is still getting ki-led. They are using AI to determine customer prices.

After working there 9 years and being promised our department was safe from restructuring, got laid off last week from the routing department. Seems they just drew names out of a hat as a lot of top performers were let go.

Just got the email, us in Tech Ops have an Operations meeting out of nowhere this Wednesday. So what area were these layoffs happening for routing, construction, XOC etc? We are in the former West Div.

@OP not just that, back in september I remember the whole division dissolve thing going on and them promising they wouldnt effect routers, well low and behold end of January comes around and they call everyone in, tell them duces, and then offered the remaining routers overtime 💀

@c5 yes “leaders” haha have been impacted. It seems as if they are all pulling double and triple duty of the ones who got let go.

Wow... I'm really happy I chose to take an external role when I was impacted during the big cuts in October last year. Good luck to everyone now looking, it su-ks but the only way out is through.

Keep your head up.

This has gotten out of control, used to be a great place to work and never worry about losing your job if you worked hard and did what was asked of you. now every day I am thinking about losing a job I have been in for 26years. they slash jobs then hire contractors and post thousands of jobs in India. got rid of divisions and local leadership and cleared the way for this bloodbath. This is only the start of this nonsense.

Was an absolute bloodbath today across all "zones". Guess this is something executive leadership can brag about during the earnings report tomorrow morning. At this rate it appears we'll need to relocate to India to avoid further layoffs.
