Im in technology department and i have no one around me got promoted to svp. Is it citi not promoting people to svp any more but promoting to D directly?

@dq HR will use any excuse to say additional responsibility is just part of the job
I don't work in Tech; but my Tech-partners have been promoted over the past 2-years (one VP to SVP, another SVP to D). It happens, but you have to stand out and market your worth of you want consideration.
I just met with HR, and they confirmed there will be no in-seat promotions at Citi unless a role involves significantly more responsibility, such as overseeing additional teams or a broader geographic scope.
I've seen some recent SVP promotions in tech? There seems to be no hold in some departments.
@OP - Given the fact that COMP is not even out yet, most Promotions below MD level are not being announced for a few more weeks. Be patient, there will be some promotions coming soon.
