Severance agreement not received by HR?

Long story short, Rif'd 10/30 with last day 11/13. Signed and email severance agreement 11/14 and received response 7 minutes later saying they received the agreement and are reviewing it.

Fast forward today, call the hotline and they said they didnt receive and are opening a case with People Team.

Anyone else go through this ringer?

@OP Very sorry to hear. I was also part of the class of 11/13 RIFs. I got my severance 3 weeks later, but I can't imagine the stress of being let go and then not getting the funds in a timely manner. I don't trust the company at all as they have many broken processes, but this is a real low.

I sincerely hope you get your severance soon and hope you’ve filed an unemployment claim. It’s not much but it’s something.

Curious if things like these can be escalated to your state's Labor and Industry Dept. after a certain period of time. Are there penalties in certain states for employers that don't honor these agreements?

Like everything, it’s being handled by India. A new hire had to deal with India HR 2 months to get access to health and dental insurance she was paying for.

This place is toast. Almost all its revenue depends on political decisions allocating welfare funds to it, and it is the most hated company in America.
