This assessment is difficult to take seriously. If the Drucker Institute had meaningful visibility into our day-to-day operations, it would be hard to reconcile their conclusions with what is actually happening inside the organization. Management dysfunction is not isolated; it is systemic. Many individuals in leadership roles have never been properly prepared or educated to lead or manage, and the results are visible across the company. The more unsettling possibility is that this evaluation is accurate—and that conditions in other places are an absolute sh-tshow.

@OP What innovation does IBM have other than to demonstrate new and exciting ways to lay off employees in the US and then migrate their jobs to India ? It sure hasn't been at the forefront of any technological innovation from AI down to Quantum. So the question is "How much did the powers that run IBM pay the Drucker Institute to put their name in the list" ? LOL.

Of course, Alvind has been instrumental in finding innovative ways to bump up his 2025 bonus.

Associated WSJ article link below is too long to post in it's entirety, so just excerpting relevant reference to IBM.

"Innovation pays

Innovation drove many of the gains at companies that rose in the ranking, followed by customer satisfaction and financial strength.

That includes three companies that leapt into the top 10 this year. Amazon climbed to No. 5 with improvements in innovation and financial strength, despite slipping employee engagement. IBM at No. 8 and Caterpillar at No. 10 both were propelled by improvements in innovation."
