Thread regarding Accenture layoffs

Why is everyone staying?

Turnover’s exploding everywhere else, but here things feel oddly frozen. I’m still looking for something better, but most of my team seems content to stay put. Makes me wonder whether they know something I don’t or if people are just exhausted.

Why would people leave a job with good salary if they have already learned the job, and can do it as a matter of routine? Job hopping will become thing of the past due to job market insecurity. It has not been long in the past, when people were sticking with the same job and same company for decades. It would be great if people could have some job security if they chose to stay, and this is for example why I am staying as well. The job is lovely, team is lovely, money could be better, but overall great place to work.
