@7p9 anyone laid off by the stupid, greedy a-holes in management at US moodys be warned - Moody's will claw back any 401k or company sponsorship matching 12 months after you have left. It could be 10-30k. If you weren't there for more than 3 years they will take it all back. No notice. One day you'll just notice thousands missing from your fidelity net benefits account. My account was missing over 20k suddenly. It terrible.
People like Tim daly and Noah Berliner are the worse people you'll ever meet working at a company you thought was respectable. Shame on those people

@7p1 can you clarify your question? What do you mean? Nobody said anything about Moody’s people coming back? Why do you think they’re releasing space at 200 Vesey St.? Just for the fun of it? You think we’re gonna go all remote? Not likely.

“ Mass layoffs are happening with no communication from leadership. Stocks are way down!”

@7p1 anything is possible, stock went down almost 13% or more within less than a month. Not-sure what’s going on. All I can see on online forums is insiders selling. Not a good sign. If this continues, it may possible that layoffs will be forced in March, before the end of the first Q1, if it remains below $400. I hope Mark Z is not referring to us when he warns that 2026 could see an employment recession across the U.S. economy.

@5g5 Please let us know if there are any updates. My H1B status makes me a little concerned.

@4kd as far as I know, if employee is still working, then bonus payout will happen later in the months. The bonus is only paid if the employee is working as of payoff date. But, not part of the package. Please update status here if you hear anything.

So curious to see if what was said will come to pass in February before bonus payout unless package will include it prorated. Will they lay off individuals or entire groups? Footprint will be reduced by half - I can see management looking to get 3 days a week out of staff.

Strategic restructuring program essentially a reduction in staff as well as the exit of certain leased office spaces that comprised the program. Not sure if this is related to the Feb job cuts. Please keep us informed here.

With the move to Brooklyn office, it will be more crowded due to the back-to-office, hybrid and on-site operations, and there are many job openings at NY.
In addition, with Pega contract last December, notsure if there are plans to relocate jobs offshore to further reduce costs. Several openings have been noticed at Pega India offices.

@2th Expect the next big wave in mid Feb. The US will be hit hardest; it will be global as in prior years. Most jobs will be brought in the office 3-4 days a week. Expect physical footprint to be reduced further as in NY. I would estimate about 400 jobs gone this time next year or right sized by title, lower pay and title. Like always the layoff will be done in low number waves as not raise much press.

With the continued integration of AI into business strategies, workforce many companies are reassessing remote work, and recent others Q1 layoffs indicate a broader trend toward onsite or hybrid roles across board. Not sure if this rumor is part of a plan.

Any update on Q1 2026 layoffs?

They let go of a lot of tenured staff in Sept. People that were at the company for 30 years so definitely have to pay out a lot of money upfront. And based on the new square footage at the new building, it’s half of what they have now.

The Q3 financial statements updated the restructuring program to continue through 2027 (previous statements estimated through 2026).

So, yes.

@OP Yes there will. Expect a lot at different parts in 2026 with the U.S. and U.K. being hit the hardest. It will be global. I believe the first big wave will be in February.
