I did and what next ?
@jb a recession is already happening is a lot of states. Sh-t in Hillsboro Intel is driving a lot of the negative economic factors. But nah I'm sure the company is gonna make a BIG come back (insert je-k off motions here)
Rams be #1 this weekend. Rams vs Patriots in SB60
Time to realize that the layoffs are mostly done at this point, unless the economy drops into recession, forcing the company to scale down.
Even then, the reductions already taken will help reduce the impact if end demand drops.
A lot of excess capacity has been eliminated, to the point where the current risk is the ability to handle increased demand. For example, if Apple really does end up using 18A-P for the next M chip, or whatever comes from the NVDA partnership, and 18A products are about to hit the market as well.
The company squandered countless billions on the IDM1.0 strategy of maintaining excess capacity, while failing to create compelling products to drive that demand.
LBT has straightened that out for the most part, although there are still too many fabs, and too many people managing too many tools. A lot of that is on older nodes which are rapidly approaching end of life. Those fabs will be sold and future tool purchases will be driven by proven demand, not forecasted hopium.
But I did continue to receive my annual salary and benefits while still employed at a job I enjoy soooooo....I guess it's a push until further notice?
Next round will be performance management with no package just demotion and pay cut
Enough, OP. It's gotten old, and it's played out. End it.
there will always be a package. don't spread fake news
nah, there will be package in next year 25K layoff
Yup - you and 50k of your closest buddies....
Maybe next time.
@OP My choice was take a new position or be let go without package.
Micah Parson should have taken the package from Cowboys.
