Thread regarding Synopsys Inc. layoffs

I’m not sure I want to go through rounds of this for the next 12 months

Not that I have much of a choice. But this is exhausting and completely demoralizing.

@a6 The "quiet layoff" so to speak where they force you to work in fear of losing your livelihood to protect shareholder value and the bottom line.

Clock in. Continue to update your resume and look for new opportunities. Collect the salary. It's not like the company was a productivity powerhouse relying on your dedication and focus anyway.

That's what they want. They want people to buckle under the pressure and uncertainty and leave on their own. That way they don't have to pay unemployment or severance packages.

@OP It's like working in front of a screen, but a loose cannon sits behind you.

@OP it’s not promising! Beyond the numbers, I’m deeply concerned about what this does to morale—the uncertainty, the stress, the impact on everyone left wondering what’s next. People aren’t just worried about their jobs; they’re worried about their teams, their purpose, their stability. Synopsys leadership needs to do better!
