@vn Do you know how many people are in HQ?
@hr
WARN notices are out!
175 in California headquarter

@hb The last big layoff in Jan 2023, Synopsys filed WARN in California about a week after the layoff notice date. So it's 50+ days before the 60-day period ends.
We should be able to find WARN notices in California website in 1-2 weeks from now.
You won't see in WARN until 60 days after layoff
@h1 there are a lot of law firms "opening investigations" into how Synopsys misled its stock holders, and seeking compensation. This is not a government investigation. Any law firm can file a press release saying they are opening an investigation.
@gg What's the class action for?
@gg each state can have different requirements than federal law. California is the most likely as one trigger is 50 employees, with no percentage requirement
From what I can see, there is a pretty large threshold for WARN- layoffs need either to affect a certain number (50) workers at a site AND 33% of the workforce. I doubt there would be a state-by-state filing. Also, “unforeseen circumstances”, which Synopsys is claiming due to the pending class action suit filed by shareholders, constitute a further loophole.
@d5 Each state will have a public listing of notifications received. Just Google your state and WARN and you should find it. I check my state every night.
I would track two primary sites for SNPS and ANSS:
https://edd.ca.gov/en/jobs_and_training/Layoff_Services_WARN/
https://www.pa.gov/agencies/dli/programs-services/workforce-development-home/warn-requirements/warn-notices
Companies can get around warn by giving 60 days pay instead. I'm not sure if they have to file a warn notice same day or not in this case.
@OP may not trigger WARN per location
warn notices are different in each state, and some locations may not layoff enough people at a specific location to trigger a notice. if the layoff was large enough, the company would either have to give the employees advance notice, or pay them a salary through what have been the notice period
