They just leave. They silently pack up their value, their loyalty, their potential, and take it where they will be appreciated. They don't waste time arguing for respect or begging to be seen. If a workplace fails to recognize their worth, they simply move on to the places that do. Because the best talent doesn't need to shout. They let their absence speak louder than their presence ever could.

Walgreens was a mess years ago. Toxic managers (Seattle Central, anyone?), endless resets, multiple trucks each week, IC3 to the pharmacy, piles of ad tags, shoplifters, homeless and on and on. I'm so glad I don't have to deal with that nightmare any longer.
@a9 same. Once I land a new role, I am providing only a same day notice.
@16d Walgreens has been at rock bottom for some time now. From an employee standpoint, it will only get worse, if that's even possible, under Sycamore.
This company has hit bottom. No hours but they expect truck unloaded, photo, FedX, shelves stocked, reset after reset, price change after price change, good customer service, front end answering pharmacy calls because they refuse to, credit cards, people pushing vax, and most times only 2 people working. Oh don't forget the venders, filling curbside orders, filling orders for doordash, and more.. Treating employees like thieves, yes, even lunch boxes need checked.. Off the clock but have to wait forever to have lunch box checked. Hiring useless people and paying them more than the ones working. Now taking away our few paid holidays. Corporate greed destroyed this company.
@aa shouldn't have to ask for that at all.
I left and it feels great. What a toxic company!
@aa Normally, I'd agree but it's not in Walgreen's DNA to treat it's employees with respect. Quite the opposite.
Disagree. There is nothing wrong in asking to be treated fairly and with respect. Life is not as simple as packing your bags and leaving.
@OP Sure, once they are able to find new jobs. It's brutal out there!
When I do finally land one, I will quit on the spot though. No notice. This company does not deserve my respect.
