The remote workers not performing should be the first to go! WFH doesn't equal watching Jude Judy and going to the mall or getting your hair done etc. Those acting like that did put themselves on this list while those that preferred to be in the office and PERFORM should prevail as well as the WFH employees that actually do their jobs! The lazy as--s are ruining it for the legit WFH employees. Just watch! The WFH 3 days a week hurt us bad! Complacency is through the roof! We also have too many damn AD's. Everywhere I turn there's an AD making $150-$180K. It's stupid! Get Russo out!

@jt : please regale us with the tale of the tribe of ancient and wise WFH employees! I'm certain they will be from some tiny, obscure team Noone has heard of. Let me guess... they were spawned from mud and stones and fire in days long before there was a Verizon... long before GTE and Bell Atlantic even. They carved spreadsheets in stone and telepathically transmitted them to the offices. Today's WFH employees are their direct descendants and, as such, are entitled to endless respect, worship and adoration.
Please... these are dark times and Verizon needs a good myth.
@hr we are just laughing at people who are so consumed about us. If you could only understand the level we are at and the work we perform. You would think and maybe understand the reasons why we have been here forever and always will be.
People who have jobs where they work from home need to be replaced by automated systems. No real job is a work in your bed job. That's not a job, it's a lie
What about my 11am tennis matches on Tuesday and Thursday? And my Friday morning tee time at 8am… you can’t take these things away from us just to sit in some POS office!
@a5 tell me you’re divorced and depressed without telling me you’re divorced and depressed.
@a2 that’s unnecessary
How much time have you spent monitoring at-home workers to accuse them of "watching Jude Judy and going to the mall or getting your hair done"? I know you aren't spouting nonsense, right?
So why weren't you using all that time to complete your own work? Hypocrite.
@ac Nah, when you spend 5 days a week in the office, you see and hear a lot more than the person sitting at home. Just saying! It will all come out in the wash! I'm not immune to the layoffs either. Just putting it out there. Upper management failed us all!
@aa Nonsense.
Pure, unadulterated B S.
We should all ponder this and see where we end up this time next year. We're probably going to be looking for anyone still working from home and not based in Pune or Bangalore because they always work in the office and didn't fight RTO needs
@a7 Realistically, only a small percentage can say they get more done from home. There's a ton of them that do less work in a week than others do in a day from the office!
@a8 then shut up!
@a7 I can WFH, I choose not to!
Let’s be realistic. WFH workers do more work in a single day than they could ever do at an office. Commuting is a complete waste of time. Don’t be jealous. Or else get a WFH job yourself!
Office work is for collaboration and winning as a team. Home office work is for family matters, family fued, and all in the family before family ties and goofing off.
@a3 I agree! I'm affected by those that feel like they have to work from home and I end up doing their jobs because they don't do anything while WFH. I should clarify the hybrid WFH employees that work 2-3 days from home. Not specifically the perm WFH employees.
How about all workers that don't perform be the first to go. Why just WFH workers? Anyone who doesnt do what they are hired to do is a problem. I don't care where they work from.
WFH individuals are 1st on the list, boomer.
