Thread regarding Walgreens layoffs

January?

Trying to ease the anxiety over here - good to know what's down the road for us. No way Deerfield can handle the OPO overflow. Parking lot is full most days. Earlier someone posted expected layoffs of 400 in January. Does anyone have any updates on this. Still January, or sooner/later? And first week of January, or later in the month? What's the pattern with previous layoff timing?

Know that non-WAG folks can also post to stir the pot. Just saying.

Keep your heads up and do your best work while you are still here. Speak up if you can with your senior management. Look for a greener field if that’s what you need. Go take a walk if you need to step away for a bit to calm down.

@OP Working for a dumpster fire like Walgreens will almost always produce anxiety. Unachievable goals and constant change with failed results.

Also do you really think the people that know what's going to happen would jeopardize their job by posting something that is confidential? As mentioned before the only thing you know is true after it happens. Public and Private Companies the size of Walgreens is always making adjustments to their workforce, it's part of working for any company that you don't own.

Well, someone, and maybe the same person who claimed the 400, also said all remote employees would be required to relocate on 10/20, and that didn’t happen.

It’s probably a good idea not to trust anything you hear on here. Other than things that have actually happened.
