@c7 Other companies like JB Hunt Transport in Arkansas are doing just that. They’re rehiring the optins . JB also had an RTO for everyone on Jan 1, 2026. If you were an optin in area that will
NOT get RIF’ed, then those positions will be rehired with contractors at a cheaper rate, no benefits.
@bp i didn't opt in over the one reason of ineligibility for unemployment ..
i don't know if i can find another job in three months ..
if you weren't an opt in in an area for reduction it didn't even matter
they are re hiring many positions ..

It’s really so sad. Take a moment to grieve. Really grieve. It will never be the same. I’m at peace with being let go (I work in cable), and trying to balance the bitterness with fond memories of what once was a thriving workplace.
Caused by the boundless ambition of the dinosaurus mafia that has brought this corporation to its current level. Nothing is enough to appease their greed and arrogance. Billions in unnecessary personnel, wasteful bonuses, hotels, and company cars, all just to ruin this company. Now they'll be rewarded even more.
