@cw free logo by the in-house agency.
@1jz
They need to attack a business model of the sleezy individual broker (that is almost non-existant after the new millenia) in their advertisements because they are unable to compare themselves to their actual competitors. Just shows how far behind this company is.
@OP it matches the d-mb commercials. Can’t believe such a prestigious company constantly churns out such corny commercials.
Isn't it Schwabvious?!?!
@1h This is a product of group think management in marketing that is fearful of ruffling feathers by offering constructive criticism lest their heads roll. However, I can tell you that those in the target audience who do not already know about the Schwab brand will have quite a hard time interpreting the new logo. This logo heavily assumes that everyone is so familiar with the Schwab name, that splitting it in half and separating it over two lines will not detract from some newcomers' ability to inculcate and remember the brand. It's also show-offy and off-putting to those already familiar with the Schwab brand.
New Logo is embarrassing. What happened to this place?
Some Inbred Mo--n Designed It.
@st yeah the one constant at this place is the higher ups are never held accountable for their poor decisions. No matter what their bonuses and their stock awards increase!
yaaa - don't want the Char1es name on there anymore because he is almost d0ne
That reminds me…remember all the money Schwab pi---d away on the “Branch of the Future” disaster?!? Oh that’s right we don’t talk about that anymore. Same executives, same mistakes. Wash, rinse, repeat.
Schwab is super late to the minimalism corporate branding and now everyone hates it. McDonald’s, Taco Bell, and every other boring corporate logo with no personality! Subway looks no different than a stupid “orange theory” fitness center. From Haley Bieber coming out with the “clean girl” look and minimalist (but highly overpriced) 25k white couches; I’ve been dying for something more exciting - anything with a pulse!
It's that same boxy, no personality look that every design has nowadays, whether it's interior design, architecture, etc. But at least you can say that when it comes to decor and architecture, that type of design is conducive to minimalism and functionalism. The logo design, however, just reflects the results of a firm where employees are only allowed to agree with each other and unable to take a risk without fear of losing their jobs. The logo, with its plain font and letters squished in a box, literally reflects the employee culture in every way.
@OP It's a royal failure! A lot of non-scgwabies on Instagram like it. ...WTH? So unprofessional. And, you want me to put my money with you? Yeah, HARD NO.
@cw yep, right on.
@gb looking at it now and it’s “schlame” eww.
How about our new “Schwabvious” campaign…It’s Schwabviously amateurish.
It's perfect - it lets everyone know they'll have no relationship with a person...just a brand.
Reminds me of the Cr--ker Barrel rebrand…how many millions did they pay to McKinsey or BCG for that new logo?
Shhhh... W-b.
My first thought. And clearly what we think of our customers.
A renewed effort to remove Chuck from the company branding. Started in 2001 with a light grey Charles over the dark Schwab.
I agree it su-ks
