Sorry, but it's as simple as that.

If you have worked at intel for a while your skill set is out of date.
Or if you worked for Intel ….. simple as that
The market is tough for everyone in all industries. If you are old and your skills are stale it is a lot harder.

Job market is tough and nobody wants to hire if you have Intel on your resume. Especially if you are/were in management at Intel. I tried getting my friend at another company to refer my resume for an open position they had and the referral got rejected within couple hours, with a rejection email sent. Usually they just don’t respond. Friend said hiring managers didn’t want ex Intel people.
15 years at Intel on my resume that is ki-ling me. And ya my skills are probably outdated.
@ab ever heard of schadenfreude?
That's almost 90% of the employees @OP
Because businesses invest so much in training.
Look I agree to the extent that some very specialized skills are in demand. That said, I have observed many opportunities have so much supply of applicants it is very tough.
I remember when I joined that my mentor assured me that working hard for a company like Intel that I might burn out but I would never rust out
Times they are a changin I guess
@ab OP is here ragebaiting you for the EVULZ.
It’s working well.
Then what are you still doing here, if it's that easy to find something else?
