Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Dell has no idea what they’re doing

Dell mgmt is lost. The leaders they have in place are the worst they have ever been. The BS charade of AI is finally being shown for what it is, which is nothing. The modern dev initiatives are falling apart. The stock is on a nose dive even though they had “record revenue”.

The employees are not happy, there is clearly a lack of strategy and the company is being driven into the ground.

MD only intention at this point is to su-k the company dry and sell pieces of it off.

They could care less about life on the ground. From the 30000 foot view, everything is fine. The barometer is the stock price. Nothing else matters.

You know what the main focus of the company is when JC goes back to take over CSG. As soon as they can figure out how to wrestle AI servers into a new CSG org, that'll be it for ISG. They'll sell off whatever pieces are left and move on, following the PC Northstar. Then, when AI demand subsides/collapses, so will Dell...

I think they know exactly what they are doing. They want to su-k the company dry and sell pieces of it off.

You people seem to think dell has a choice.
it doesn't. it's a dwindling business and only way to improve margins is to cut expenses.
there is zero innovation there.

it took a world-wide pandemic for dell to post some boost in revenue. they didn't reinvest back into the business. instead they sold of land/buildings/amenities.

md and jc are jumping from grift to grift. they got on the work-from-home grift. now it's AI and that's not doing much.

remember the wise words of the hairplugs-clown: "if you have to come into the office you are doing it wrong."

I’ve spoken with employees across Dell, and the message couldn’t be clearer: 100% of them : yes, every single one are miserable with the direction this company is heading. People are exhausted from working under constant pressure, never knowing when they’ll be the next target for a WFR. Some are so hopeless they actually wish they’d be cut loose, just to escape this toxic cycle. The common theme? Everyone feels forced to do more with less, and nobody feels valued.

Sure, AI plays a role in this mess, but let’s be real , it’s upper management that created this disaster. And they’re the only ones with the power to fix it. Instead, it looks like the captain has fallen asleep at the wheel yet again, steering straight into the iceberg while prioritizing soulless business decisions over the very people keeping this ship afloat
