Bill Ford Jr for sure...remember, Farley is just a puppet of his.

Started much, much earlier around 1916 when Henry lost a lawsuit against him from the Dodge Brothers.
That's how the Board took control away from Henry.
@pd I’ve always hated the word withered, it’s cringy, like ‘moist’.
The management of course. They are no leaders, for to be a leader you need willful followers. The people in management are all clowns. Unfortunately they determine our careers. They do not have an understanding of the work it takes to bring out a quality product , starting from my LL6 and above. The pride which I once had for working here has withered.
Systemic issues don’t get solved because “hey, let’s do this” gets twisted into “let’s stomp this guy.” Then the stompers cannibalize the know-how and spearhead the work as if it were their own, but can’t sustain it. Nothing comes to fruition because the original person is already out of the picture, reduced to a skeleton.
@hz When something goes wrong, most people try to cover it up or reframe the narrative instead of restoration. We need to bring back a culture where honesty and doing the right thing actually matter. Just because something happened in the past doesn’t mean we should forget it, specially if it was never properly dealt with. People who truly succeed with integrity don’t ignore mistakes. And if most people are ignoring real problems, we should ask whether their success is actually fair, or if they’re cutting corners. When most people or companies look like they’re ‘winning’ but they’re actually cutting corners, it ends up hurting everyone. The whole system suffers because the wrong values are being rewarded, making dysfunction the norm.
Everyone that enables bad behavior to continue. This extends beyond the walls of Ford itself. Partners, institutions, agencies, local government, etc.
@df I'm sure you are a great employee getting paid a lot of money. Id--t.
You need to see the whole picture what kind of show it was from 2021 till now.
People were shuffled all over the place , consistent lay 0ff- hire new- lay offs - hire new - NOTHING was ever completed. HOrrible process , mismanagement and NO tracking of anything. No validation, no real quality. People with a Big mouth get a credit for nothing. Many people got promoted from lay offs and on failed FNV4. Bad leadership = they compare vehicles with disposable Apple phones that last max 2 years.
I knew someone who was laid off and in charge for the recall development, she is gone and the company is in trouble. Can't be specific here. But it is a sh-t show and Ford will pay what it deserves.
Bad employees like so many on here
And who do B,J and Board report to?
"Car Czar" Pedosta.
Yeah, that guy. They know what he gets up to and work with him anyway.
......The Rain
@cs The poor people don't need new vehicles.
Affordability is a huge huge problem.. besides all the quality issues..
@OP the shareholders with most voting rights, mainly the Ford family
Who's to blame?
Billy, Jimmy and the board who let this go on!!!
Those who blame tariff's have the disease called TDS.
Bill.
His politics are all over this company.
Technically Henry Ford is the root cause of the problem. Someone go dig him up and smash his bones with the shovel.
@at if Ford builds in the United States there are no tariffs. Nice try though.
It's hard to blame one person, but often you can; usually, executive leadership is to blame. Cost-cutting or cutting corners to meet launch dates and half-baked products that fail because of poor design is often the case. It used to be that mechanical components were recalled, but now in the digital age, software issues and the complexity of safety systems have further increased the level of difficulty. I'm relatively new to Ford but I already see cracks in the system and process that are inherent to this. Product decisions are now based on cost and the supplier who will do it for less not quality no matter how hard you push them during development and hold them to the SCAFF, the recall will always carry Ford branding.
Big emphasis on documentation but GSMs are pushed on cost and cheapest, not the best.
Tariffs
@a6 blaming gets us to the root cause, where we can contain the issue and give corrective action. Ignoring the cause spins our wheels.
Billy and the BOD are responsible for Hatchet and Fartley being in charge, 2 worst CEOs in history. Well almost. Top 3 worst: #1 Fartley, #2 Jack the kn--e, #3 Hatchet man
Started with Jim Hackett and then making the decision of letting Joe Hinrichs go.
BF and the BoD plain and simple.
@a6 What blame? Forrest Gump said it right. "Stupid is as stupid does". Ford is and does!
Simple. It is not the ones who resigned or the ones that were terminated. So, who is left? Hmm.
You are the culprit
Blame? is that what we do, and is that productive? I don't know if blame is the right tactic. Blame is vindictive and emotional. What you need to do is simply, coldly, and methodically, find the source of the quality issues that have been promised to be fixed for the last half decade or more. Plans put in place haven't worked in the needed fashion. Progress hasn't been quick enough? Not paying for talent in the right places? We all know the issues cannot be completely with workers. Get the data, make the change. If you are getting the wrong data then you have a bigger problem.
You are. Work harder.
