Too bad alot of you worry about the management that sc--wed the company and not further bettering yourself in getting out of walgreen's. It's hard to believe walgreen's is the best you can do..but maybe it is.
@OP 100%!!!!!
This is just the beginning.
Look at Staples if you wander what happens next. South asian domination at all levels and 20% cuts YOY.
The CEO was a puppet. He was put in as a place holder.
Pessina planned to take Walgreens private the moment he bought Walgreens using Walgreens money to do so. He has done similar deals with his prior companies. He knows how to make money off of all these deals.
The CEO is a total SELLOUT. Say it the way it is.
@cy Is this true, it would be a dream come true if he comes back.
Director of a PE held company means nothing. It is just a face saving role for Tim when Sycamore took away his CEO job.
@db Tim Wentworth remains a director at Walgreens, even though he is no longer the CEO. He transitioned to a non-executive board role following the company’s acquisition by Sycamore Partners.
It was pretty clear tim was just here to stabilize the company to prepare for a sale. He had no new strategies or anything just keep the business running and cut as much as possible.
@d1 The only surprise was how quickly Tim left. It appears he was basically here to sell the company. Once that's done. No need to stay. Just collect that fat check and go.
It's official, bye bye Tim!
The new CIO is abhi dhar
@aw he has been gone since July
He has been gone since July
It's even gonna be worse than many imagined actually. Be ready...not trying to scare...just giving a heads up. The CEO was all lip service on all this....just a terrible thing to be. How shameful.
@a4 Tim is basically gone. The new CEO is in Outlook already.
What about CIO ?
I heard Tracey and Mary are officially out today. Rumors that Tim will also go but Rick, Elizabeth, and Manmohan are staying.
