It's not a black and white value or no value equation. How much and what kind of value is evaluated versus total compensation and this is the basis for layoff decisions.
@c9 the line about the "value" I apparently bring disgusted me. So everyone that got let go through no fault of their own didnt bring value? In any way? Youre letting all of that institutional knowledge walk? They call us Human Capital. Just a dollar sign, just a number, just a value on a spreadsheet.
Hearing reports that there might be an issue with the leader data that was put in so for some if their leader changed it may not be correct. If true it will really add to this calamity.
I know some people who have not gotten the email yet and some in service who just got the email in the last hour.
@bm nope. I had a 1:1 with my GP and someone from HR mid-Monday to learn I was displaced after 18 years. Got the email 45 mins before the meeting. Great way to handle telling someone that after nearly 2 decades to go kick rocks, huh? This whole thing had been handled terribly and PP should be ashamed. But I guess if I was bonusing $30M a year I wouldn’t care, either. Actually, I would.
At some point, we’ll discuss the tone and tenor of the email. I’m thankful to have a job. But there was phrasing that made me feel as if I’d won The Hunger Games. And I was left with the fading echoes of “spans and layers”.

@OP Midnight CDT and still no email. So much for “everyone” will receive an email by end of day Tuesday. Yet another lie. Yet another atrocious execution. This company is run by a bunch of CLOWNS.
Crazy that current leaders and new leaders do not know who got moved. Leaders do not who is moving to or from their teams. My team had to call me tonight to share and I had to share with their new leader. How is this possible
Seems emails are going out maybe in order of p number. All clear for my team and my title is changing. Won’t be easy with a lot of great talent leaving. Which is why in part I’m so sorry to those that have been let go and demoted or offered roles not to your interests. Hoping for the best for those of you impacted.

Wife just got email saying she was safe at 9:00 PM central
I finally received my email. Although I was hoping for a new leader, I am grateful.

I received an email a few moments ago confirming my safety, but a new leader assigned.
It feels like these emails are being sent out one at a time.

I was informed I was safe yesterday. But I just got my email confirming 8:45p CT.

Got my email and safe with a new leader. Couple other people that's been around as long as I also got emails too. So maybe they are going out by j and p numbers?

yes, after 7pm CT i got something indicating I'd made it through this round. it was directly to me and had my team, direct leader, and department listed.
Did anyone really get email? Nothing yet.

@ak A lot of people still haven't received as of 7:15PM. They seriously couldn't figure out a way to send them all at once?
@aj not all leaders know. Only GP's knew who was getting the ax as some leaders were too. In Tech Bobby was the only one that knew, until some leaders got the all safe email for their teams. The next couple days will be info dumps on new structures etc.
Just got the email. 6:45ish CENTRAL TIME.
Definitely HR fu-k up with the email, but if you have not heard from your leader/GP that also shows their complete incompetence. Every leader privy to this information, should have informed you that you are not being affected by now. For many teams, this email will just be an official confirmation to what should have already been communicated so that the email does not come as a surprise.
They're probably still firing people in Tempe
No meeting request and no email. I recognize that it would be a logistical nightmare to plan and execute communications to 9000 employees, but they had 6 MONTHS to plan this. Execution is poor and COMPLETELY LACKING “EMPATHY”.
