What I find most unbelievable is that, in addition to laying people off (ISP), they are also demoting many employees and cutting their pay. Even more shocking is that if you refuse the demotion and pay cut, it's classified as a "voluntary separation" instead of being laid off, which means no unemployment benefits and no severance. I've never seen such a predatory practice in the financial services industry before.
@bm right? Penny’s bonus two years in a row mind you, and Edward Jones starting it’s own bank governed out of Utah… while laying people off, essentially forcing longtime GPs to take VSP, and Isp’ing a lot who declined VSP! There ya go Jack.
Hey Jack, start with Pennys bonus. Follow the money!
If you come to campus you can do an interview from the new Trailblazers Cafe that was opened a few weeks ago while the layoff process was in the plans. It is fairly nice. The firm invested plenty of capital into it.
I was told not to come to the office today. I was laid off today and notified my access to the building had been immediately suspended and I could not retrieve my personal items. Edward Jones is currently holding my personal items. Many I bought myself for company use.

Hi Jack,
Did you know that Edward Jones’s CEO, Penny Pennington also serves on the board of directors for the Federal Reserve, and FINRA, which is the governing body for Wall Street Broker Dealers? Do you think this is a conflict of interest? If you look at the Edward Jones Webpage for Penny, they do a good job of burying this information at the bottom. Thoughts?
@OP it is about time. Where have you been?

I wouldn’t talk to this reporter! He’s duplicitous AF!
If you do talk to him, make sure you record your conversation.
Encourage anyone to share their experience with Jack. Just make sure you're not named or quoted if you need your severance.
