Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Folks there is a massive layoff, it's hidden using clever legal loop holes.

Heard, a blood bath in Duo, Quite fascinating to see what directors are doing to save themselves, even a PMO in maternity leave was laid off.

Similar stories from Thousand Eyes engineering, connected devices, SREs , etc.

This is a massive layoff, hidden using clever legal loop holes.

This is so true at cisco, if you think your job is safe because you're a good person and have a great relationship with your boss you are sadly mistaken. I would suggest that any new job is better than a 10 year old job because they are hiring from need.

@a8 Maternity leave doesn't protect you from losing your job. It's only protected if you were targeted because of the leave.

This is really easy to discover on your own. Critical thinking is apparently lost at Cisco

@b6. @ad isn’t stupid. What he said is that people who run Cisco and plan LR are smarter than you know. They can let go a pregnant mom and no law is violated because the regulations of layoffs and LR are different.

@ad is a stupid loser

@OP while you at being Captain Obvious also want to tell us how many days in a week?

@ad really? What is the difference for the folks impacted? Laid off vs LR’d still means they are out of a job.

wow! look at some of the people still in the role and not being impacted and how they treat their past fellows,
a. it is your fault, regardless whatever the reason.
b. it was announced a while ago and we simply "forget" mention this time. you shall have paid attention.
-> we support this round of layoff.

just wait until the chop come to you and you will join the other side. and see how you feel.

It is not hidden. This was already announced in one of the previous earnings calls. They simply didn't bother to state it again.

laid off, LR'd, business decisioned, workforce reductioned, downsized, operationally aligned, position eliminated... at the end of the day, you've been released back in to the job market against your will.

@ad yes, you are not layoff, you are LR exactly.

Why does anyone think Cisco needs "legal loopholes" to manage its business?

You aren't entitled to a job.

This board is pathetic. My 10-year-old is more mature than the whiners here. Su-k it up and move on.
