I came into my office today (1515) and as I'm working the lights shut off. They were doing an electrical test on the whole floor, and I saw massive blueprints of our floor plan spread on a table outside.
Idk, could just be routine but...gave me a pretty foreboding feeling. Almost no one is here, and all the video walls are now decked out with "paramount: a skydance corporation."

181 people are going to be laid off at 1515 per the warn notice.
I was located at the BC until they moved us to 1515. Word was that they were looking to sell and had to relocate us (to 1515). Our entire dept. is now at 1515. Not sure if that is still the plan to sell the BC?
@b5 why are you making stuff up. 1 the casino license decision is at least a year away. 2 in no universe are they going to put a casino in times sq 3 you have no idea what they were doing. That being said, the days of 1515 being Paramount’s home are numbered, probably move to BC and Hudson yards.
That's just the city building inspectors and the planning commission looking to see that 1515 has enough power to support the new casino that's taking over. Technically, they don't have to announce the walk throughs or tests, although security should have either sent an email or made an announcement over the intercom instead of startling people. A third party contractor has been hired to remove Paramount graffiti from each floor along with the cubicles/filing cabinets, except cubicles needed for the casino's administrative wing. Office chairs will also be collected.
@OP it’s Friday in the summer in NYC not sure what you expected. 10 years ago you’d have seen the same thing. I know it’s tough not to be negative when there is only speculation but honestly there’s no point in worrying until there is actually something concrete being said.

1515 is closing up shop. But not necessarily your job. It may just move to the cbs broadcast center. It’s not that far away. Stay positive!
A few weeks ago they were clearing out the closest on my floor for days on end. Had the same feeling.
