And Friday 08-09-25. I thought it was going to be Monday 08-11-25?

@va it’s too late for some people, so they will dismiss others like cr--s in a barrel making jokes at frustration towards them pulling you down
@pf Laugh and the world laughs with you. Weep and you weep alone. LMAO!
@pf Humility’s a tricky thing. The moment we’re sure we have it, we probably don’t.
Once upon a time, Ford would start cancelling a lot of openings before layoffs.
Anyone seeing or hearing this?
@p6 agree with this, my manager has been super negative lately and paranoid about everything.
For those of you with smart or witty comments, love to hear them when you are knocked off your "pedestal" of arrogance. You shall be the ones to fall the farthest and fastest. Amazing the people that think they are Teflon. I do know some of these "sections" are going to be pruned or eliminated. Being humble is a better look than a fool.
@p4 I don't know if it's just me who felt that, my LL5 sounds anxious, every team members are very quiet for the last 2 days.
All quiet on the Eastern front.
???
Part of the 133 million they have already spent has gone to retiring LL5+ the other to trickle layoffs of GSRs. I expect the 367 million remaining to represent a much larger # of employees as LL5+ are much more costly to “retire”
@b2+1k1vtepna if I remember correctly with 2019 SRD the average was 110K per employee (excluding pension payouts which was a separate accounting). But in 2019 they were targeting senior pension eligible employees. From what I am seeing this time around employees with much fewer years of service will be cut. So maybe 40K average? as HR charges their time to the layoff cost bucket (ford gonna be ford).
Paid Services are being laid off right now, started last friday (the 2nd)
What about it? Nothing. Unless you have a solid source, just a rumor like everything else.
@c9 Math went over your head and you called it stupid. Real bold.
Do you just think the cost is just possible severance?
@c8 So it costs a million dollars to get rid of one person? Wow, a real genius over here.
In 2023, if I remember correctly, Ford set aside $2 billion for restructure ( include both hardware and personnel). There were about 2000 employees got laid off. If Ford set aside $500 million for resource reduction this time, my guess is that there will be be 500 people affected.
@a5 are you saying the reports to investors are true? The SEC would have something to say about that.
Yup, we're all feeling something looming. Many LL5 ++ retirements..must have had a nudge
Yes, firing all id--ts who can’t understand how a calendar works
@ap+1k1vtepna Please ignore the @a5 bot. IDK if this is a troll or a paid Ford HR individual. The 10-Q report clearly spelled out $500 million during all of 2025, with $133 milions already used. Also mentioned that most of the amount is for employee separations. So we know for sure layoffs are coming this year, just not exactly when.
Do you know how much (in average) Ford spends laying off one employee? Because that would give us an idea of how many people are getting fired. For example, if an employee separation cost $100K (an easy round number), we are talking around 3,670 employees. The problem is that I highly doubt that number. More probably would be around $20K or less in the severance package, but that would mean laying off more than 16,000 employees, which is a bit too much. Am I right?
@as I mean the 8th
Sorry I must’ve took an 8th and a fifth
@am are you going through a manic episode? Look at the title of the thread. It clearly says the 7th is Thursday.
@a5 Do you have basic reading comprehension? And did you read the quarterly report? Or listen to reporting? They clearly spelled out $500,000,000 in resource separation costs.
Thursday is the 7th
What departments are being targeted this time for layoff ?
@a5 gotta love the dedication you have to keeping up this big day in n day out on this site. Keeps me laughing at least.
@a5 our first line of defense goes from this Friday to next Sunday, just in time for them to swoop and unveil
@a5 you have to be larping. All boots on the ground for the skunkworks unveiling? How do you make this sh-t up. Omfg i actually laughed.. out loud
Monday is all boots on the ground for the Skunkworks unveiling. The company does not need other distractions getting in the way of this important day.
Also, leadership did not speak of any resource changes at the last Global Town Hall, thus whatever you are hearing is false and untrue.
Everyday is layoff day at Ford
You’re full of it.
