Supervisor has ultimate control of PDS?

Did the supervisor have the power to control the content of PDS presented? Can the supervisor choose to add content or remove content that is not discussed with the employee?

Yes, that low IQ, fat, inexperienced mo--n actually controls your PDS and can purposefully manipulate every sentence about you in the ranking session to get you NSI.

Supervisor controls the whole thing. So if you didn’t get along, this is their chance at revenge and they will enjoy it. I saw the smug look on mine’s face when communicating the NSI. Then the smug came off when I didn’t break down.

It works much better in most other companies. What you are describing is unethical and breeds mistrust, a major no-no in real HR systems. In the other companies the supervisor puts in his/her final statement, signs it as complete from management and the employees gets the final statement whether they agree/disagree, etc. At EM you're assigned your place and that's how it's going to be.

@c1 you could but you’re not entitled to know that. And I think most supervisors would not divulge that because what you submit is a game in itself (having to come in distributed, etc). There’s nothing to gain for the supervisor to share it as the final result is all that matters

Can we ask the supervisor what they pre-rank us before they go represent us in the PA meeting?

The PDS form is OWNED BY THE SUPERVISOR.

You are just in input. That is officially how it’s set in HR… for a reason.

90% at the mercy of your supervisor's 3 minute pitch. Then the most influential people in the room could support it or not, depending on your interactions with them during the year. PDS is irrelevant

The supervisor should have final say but it could change after under the radar prerank discussions to position everyone accordingly. There can be a mandate from a level above. Ask to see the final speech in your feedback session.

@OP haven’t you figured out the odd means nothing. No one ever looks at it but your supervisor. The only thing that matters is what your supervisor says in the 90 second speech and where they prerank you.

You got it right on the nail. The supervisors have too much power over our outcome. This is the reason there is no hope for exxon.
