I have been affected by the CPM actions, and struggling to find a job. I am applying to dozens of jobs, but no interviews so far. People in the same boat, how's the search going?

@OP just contact other departments if you have any connections . I’ve seen people get let go, get a package, then get hired back under a new title with a raise without having to pay back the package. There is also hiring internally with no job posting internally or externally. That’s a great way to control expenses. Must be a Texas thing…
I’ve been trying for years. Mostly silence and rejections.
It’s destroyed my confidence, self-worth, and mental health. I have to work. I know I’m on the Titanic and it’s rapidly taking on water. But I can’t get off. I mostly hate being alive a little bit more each day.
Expect 6-12 months depending on seniority and area. Contract jobs are much faster to get. You may need to apply to hundreds of jobs-- pace yourself. Enjoy the time to unwind. Like marriage, you only need one.
Think of your job search like online dating: you don't want to just take the first pretty face who comes along. You want to do some research to make sure you're compatible, have the same values, and will both benefit from the relationship.
Depends on your area of expertise. Some areas are saturated (programming, marketing) but if you are in the right spot, there are quite a few jobs out there if you want to relocate. I've had two offers for 60 and 90k more per year t-comp, but given they are in the California bay area it's a lower standard of living even with the pay increase. So I'm sticking it out at Intel for the time being.
Depending on the market and your age / background, it can potentially take a long time. If you are over 60, it might take over a year to land something equivalent, and you might have to relocate. GET YOUR FINANCIAL HOUSE IN ORDER WHILE YOU ARE STILL WORKING. Eliminate debt, build up savings. BTW, LinkedIn did nothing for me. Directly applying to companies did eventually work.
Much hiring happens through LinkedIn.
Take Intel off your resume and profile.
Put some other consulting gig for that independent consulting company you have.
Good luck.
Delete your LinkedIn profile and remove Intel from your resume. This is tested and proven advice. Do that and you WILL get interviews.
It took me about 7 months to find a decent job after applying for at least 200 positions. I did quit Intel on my own though. The market is just overpopulated to applications that land nowhere.
