Maybe HR in US don’t want to get involved in wrongful terminations disguised as mass layoffs. Who wants to be summoned to court to testify that terminating employees with newborn babies while keeping others in the same team is acceptable?

I also heard about a Qcom Freeze this week. When is the notice being sent out?, this sounds like another excuse for a lousy AR25.

@1dv Maybe VPs and very critical positions, but why in the world would you have HR answering your questions since Mexico City?

@OP there is a hiring freeze through our Qualcomm?

I received the verbal offer letter but HR is saying they cannot generate a written offer letter.

For Q people doubting OP, just do: go/buildings - statistics - people counts:

India: 22500 employees
San: 11000 employees

True. Even when I called a direct line to "US HR team", the people who answered were either in Mexico or India. And one of the staff' manager was in Canada...

Accounting, Supply Chain, HR. Seriously, try to contact HR, you will find them in Mexico City, we don't even have HR in the US. Supply Chain is now being pushed to hire in Taiwan.
