EBM division associates in trouble

The new CMO (who joined a couple of weeks ago) had an informal Q&A session this afternoon with all associates in EBM.
One thing she noted was that EBM would take longer to define the org structure than the rest of the firm.

The question on everyone’s mind was- does that put displaced EBM associates at a disadvantage because any open roles will get filled before they have a chance to apply.

Her response was - “ I want to get it right and not fast. I will try to get cascade 2 for EBM done at the same time as the rest of the firm but no guarantees.”

That response and mindset so lacks empathy and human centeric view. She wants to take her own sweet time at the cost of associates’ livelihood. If she delays cascade 2 for EBM, i sincerely wish she fails at EJ and gets kicked out like the associates she will have impacted.

@OP and this is after the GP she replaced and the GP of the ExCOE said that while EBM was behind schedule for cascade 1, they “will be in sync with the Firm by the end of cascade 2”. Just another example of broken promises. Since we are now like every other Firm, she’ll probably just reimagine us the same way she did at Prudential.

I think you are reading too much into the word salad. They gave someone that has been at the firm 2 weeks final say. Shes going to pull names out of a hat and pretend it was all part of her plan.

She’s from Citi. We now have two former Citi execs on ELT. Instead of promoting from within, instead of hiring from top financial services firms, we are hiring execs that are jumping ship from Citi, the worst performing financial services company I can think of.
