Thread regarding Five9 Inc. layoffs

This isn’t strategy. It’s denial with a budget.

That Product Palooza? Absolute timewarp. “Look, we can manage users and skills!” Cool, so can Microsoft Office 97.

This isn’t innovation, it’s feature taxidermy with an “AI” nametag. Leadership’s just tossing buzzwords like confetti at a fire.

Meanwhile, sales is stuck promising magic while the execs chase imaginary metrics and sprinkle glitter on legacy code.

If you’re still here and have a pulse, speak up.

Couldn’t agree more. That demo series was a masterclass in corporate decay. Nothing says “we’re out of ideas” like duct-taping 30-year-old features to a buzzword bingo card and calling it innovation.

Watching leadership nod along like hostages with Stockholm Syndrome was honestly more disturbing than the content itself. It’s like they’ve mistaken compliance for vision.

If this was meant to restore confidence, it had the opposite effect. Feels like we’re all just waiting for someone to turn off the lights and lock the door on the way out.

I wasn’t planning on leaving this dead company, but it seems like the product leader has stuck the nail in the co-k.

This recent product demo series was absolutely pathetic and failed to inspire me or anyone I know in the future of this company. I can’t believe Mike just sat there like a bdsm femme saying “yes daddy more” as this product team defecated all over his chest.

Goes to show that we have our own Joe Biden just with more dementia and ice cream.
