Focus on what you actually control. Rest is out of your hands. Easier said than done but replace anxiety with taking care of your own body and mind.
@gb and you have a serious social health issue with being nice to other humans. Please get help.
@jf i agree 100%. Once you start looking you quickly realize how grossly UNDERPAID we are too!
Hope we all come out on the other side of this.
@OP Instead of doing something proactive or constructive to help yourself, you sit and doomscroll.
I'm sorry I used to do the same thing, but then after I saw people being let go I said why wait.... i spent 3 months looking and found a remote job paying 20 percent more.
The more time you spend here, the less time you will have to get ahead.
Good luck to you.
@gb How could you be so cruel? People have families to feed!!!!!

Or just do a silent quit while being oh so nice and politically correct like most I see. Hi fiving everytime a manager says ‘Good Job”. You have to wonder why do they say that. Is it because they know this company is sc--wing everyone with the metrics and basically you are doing a good job just by keeping up with these people insanity and they know it.
Face it, you have a mental health issue, get help. I'm dead serious too.
Just do what my manager does, the bear minimum which is close to nothing. It's been at least 6 months and he is still on the payroll.
eh I’ve been hoping to get let go for awhile now and still here collecting a check when there’s not enough work for the week.
I feel the same way. I really enjoy my work and coworkers, but I have seen many of the best employees let go. Every quarter you wonder if you will still have a job. Knowing how the job market has gone from bad to worse makes me want to find something before I get RIF'ed.

Mission accomplished. That's what Optum is shooting for.
It is optum culture after acouple years you just dont care. Been this way for 10 + years been through 56 episodes of the hunger games myself
Or you could start taking up drinking heavily, and get a DUI. Maybe you will make it into senior leadership. Seems like that’s a pre-requisite.
Seriously though, focus on improving yourself skills wise, polish the resume off, and start applying for jobs. Take control of your situation, you will feel so much better when you aren’t feeling helpless waiting on someone else to drive your direction or outcomes in life. Best of luck!
I hear you. Maybe try looking at resume, applying to other jobs, upskilling, mental health / mediation and actionable items, since worrying isn't helpful by itself. Good luck.
