Government policies may vary in different countries for maternity. Which country did they do it for?
@sz completely agree. It either should matter that someone is pregnant/on leave, or it shouldn’t matter. They need to be more clear

So, if my wife has a baby, it is okay to lay me off, but not here? If I am the only provider for the family is it OK , but not in her case ?
