Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Can anyone confirm if next week meeting is about RTO?

I saw someone mentioned their VP is giving them a heads-ups. If you know, please share.

Thanks

When Amazon pulled their RTO card, they made people move or quit.

Optum has done this in the past as well.

Optum just lays people off they dont play the RTO bs. They got rid of a ton of office leases in the pandemic fun and games so where will they park the buts

From what I've heard, the ask is for people who live within 30 miles of an office to come in 2-3 days a week. But may only apply to Minnesota folks.

@OP I have been working from home since 2014. Been with Optum for 17 years. If I get called back into an office, I will be sending in my resignation. I am so less productive in the office. Time su-k, money su-k for gas, food, clothes. Not worth it. And I have no team members here. Zero sense.

Many saying its not possible because you don't live near an office. When Amazon pulled their RTO card, they made people move or quit. FYI

@bc maybe it’s for people who live near any of their offices.

I was recently hired as fully remote. There is no office space near me, This is the case for thousands. How can we RTO if there’s no OTRT?

I seriously doubt it as many don’t live close to an office.
