That is when maverick “disrupts” and makes half of us or more jobless. Can’t go to other companies cause they will be reducing their workforce too. What career switch are you planning?

@dy Ask ChatGPT it knows even though i dont think it signed the NDA :)
I took Retirement. But if I was someone still needing a job. I would consider taking my severance package and go into a trade, like Plumber or Electrician. These are jobs that can't be off shored or be replaced by AI.
My Nieces and Nephews who are graduating from High School I am encouraging them to go to a Trade School.
@OP so much for signing the NDA 😀... gonna be alot of people going to be disappointed when they really find out what it means... BTW I took WFR myself
oracle suite I hear
What I hear is maverick is still on track for Jan feb 26 but layoffs across operations SC, procurement and all the Fin functions almost are likely in Dec so we get higher op inc in q4. Mav business case is super big on the cost reductions. Oh well this is plain ol exhausting.
Don't just buy into the learned helplessness and wait for the WFR to do what should be done. You will get blindsided some upcoming Monday or Tuesday morning with the stupid script. When Dell unceremoniously throws you out like that week's trash, you will suddenly have urgent actions to handle to prepare yourself to win that next gig. Why wait until that day? There's always hope, and there's no reason not to get serious today.
what is Maverick
When that happens, it'll be a Remington Retirement for me.
The speed at which AI is developing means Project M will be outdated the day it goes live.
Soon, and all jobs except manual labor are directly affected.
I'm doing my job, but when the time comes for another layoff, I’m left without a plan. I’ve been working nonstop since I was 17, never experiencing a real vacation. My life has been a cycle of layoffs and scrambling for the next job. Dell was the longest I’ve stayed with any company. I’ve worked at over 16 companies, and they all failed for the same reasons: cost-cutting and outsourcing overseas. I worked with really cool people and people that shaped the IT industry but I’m exhausted from working for these companies. This time, I’m done, I’m taking a permanent vacation, companies don't know how to appreciate people.
Michael said we delivered an excellent quarter just past but needs us to run faster and execute more quickly. I'm going to dedicate my whole life to Dell to meet or exceeds Michael's expectations. Who is with me?
Get out of the miserable tech industry and look to mid-market, US-centric companies. There are jobs out there where people are not treated like refuse.
I'm going to ride this pig until she bucks me off. As far as work, same story.
I plan on finding out what Sudhir is doing and going to work with him

Back to construction labourer after 15 years break
When will this happen and what jobs are affected?
