Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

What’s the commonality?

For the life of me, I cannot tell what the commonality is for those laid off yesterday. Tenure? A lot of GOOD long term (20+ year associates). Remote or formerly remote? A lot of key resources in certain areas were let go. Performance? Nope, not common either.

Most of these companies are reporting record profits, yet, they keep laying off folks. I don't understand

@OP the only commonality i see is the infinite desire to amass as much of wealth as possible by each and every executive

When I experienced my first layoff...it wasn't anything other than I was picked, along with others. No real reason. Just happens.

I start my day with the assumption my job could end this day. I make decisions based on that.
