So is tomorrow the big day?
@OP this is not accurate. layoffs happen outside of this which caused a lawsuit. the layoffs are june 10. The last warn notice filed in dec 24 doesnt have that info.
The first 90 days of severance is spent as an "on leave" employee with full benefits (401k match, health insurance through paycheck deduction, 401k loan autopayments, etc.), which seems to clearly be their way of not actually WARNing anyone before they have their meeting with H.R. to get the news that they're being evicted from their jobs.
Stop with the WARN nonsense
Those are from the last round, you can check the dates, all from 2024. They have to submit the WARN notice 3 months before the layoffs. So what they do is give you 3 mo of pay and submit the WARN after. There is a pending lawsuit going on RE: this.
They don’t post the WARN notice until after the layoffs happen. I posted this on another thread, but I was impacted in December and the notice wasn’t posted until a week or so after. Same with the September round.
Many years ago they informed the state/WARN prior to the layoffs. Last couple years the Warn report seems to be filed days - week after .There's no penalty as long as you pay the WARN 60 or 90 day salary money.
There's been no Warn report in NY since a small January one .
The NY Post again today on the G-yle King story mentioned June layoffs but i haven't heard anything . SVP shared and names were turned in like a month before each round last year .is June 10 a day people have heard about?
