Tried switching teams within Citi to escape a power-tripping boss, only to land under someone just as bad. Guess toxic management isn’t a bug here, it’s a feature. Lesson learned: time to take my skills somewhere that doesn’t confuse incompetence with leadership.

OP: It's Not a Citi feature.
It's a perpetual CitiDisease amongst it's other diseases.
That's why Citi is on terminal life support teetering on existinction and bankruptcy. LOL!
Post ID: @OP+1jv1eb213 OP I did the same thing. It's just as dysfunctional, incompetent, psychotic and toxic in my new department.
This is Normal for Citi. The opposite would be abnormal.
The only difference is that I got an salary increase because I moved up a C-level because I got sick and tired of waiting for an In-Seat promotion (LOL ! Joke!) under Citi's Rule that Svckers-Employees have an 80% chance of getting rejected for an In-Seat promotion regardless if they're super-duper Rated 1s / 2s or 3s.
But the salary overall is Still below market rate and below what Citi's competitors pay. The only way up is out of Citi. I heard it's going bankrupt anyway.
It is same everywhere internally, don't waste and energy looking internally. Look external, there are much better well paid roles.
Toxicity is everywhere in corporate America.

Look outside the financial industry, if you are tech that is.
I think toxic culture is common in some banks:-)
