Why nobody talk about the announcement of p&t integration in BL, and it will happen without job losses. Why all posts here only negative

whatever stuff you're smoking, its goooood!
Nobody is buying the "lift and shift.". If you're not eventually going to cut people, why bother? The areas will also need to be unscrambled. This is an example of a reorg that is obviously going to trigger a follow-up reorg.
They are delaying speed to buy bp
My p&t lead flat out said, don't think for a minute our team won't reduce just because of that lift and shift phrase was used. And.... just bc it was delayed doesn't mean we wont be reduced and sized appropriately by November.
You are in the machete man Robin’s organization. Being chopped is always round the corner. Experienced him enough, don’t believe a word of assurance that comes from him
if your job is moving stuff around in spreadsheets/pdfs and you follow a limited number of rules to do it, then your job will be gone when agents work
plain and simple
on a selfish note, i hope that some of the “ “admin” and “support” jobs that moved to india get cooked by this.
You can see the lift and shift don’t entirely make sense yet. Some PTX teams related to gas should be a part of IG, not Downstream. Why IG absorbs SEAM entirely while many of its teams work for Upstream and Downstream. Each business is given a pie of P&T, once each pie becomes a part of their P&L next year, then optimization will happen.
Why are they waiting to 2026? I’ll tell you - because they want the current cuts to have time to complete. Then they’ll do the ‘lift and shift’ and shortly after start a process to right size the new org. Don’t listen to the BS
Shell will have an AI agent strategy by then so who knows how P&T will look like in 2026.
let’s unpack that a bit
you think no job losses will happen from P&T being chopped up and thrown into the business lines
ok. why do you think there won’t be redundancies uncovered in the months to 1 year term? because wael said so? be realistic. layoffs come after “lift and shift”.
i challenge you to prompt an ai with this - “a company has announced that a business will be broken up and its pieces will be subject to a “lift and shift” and placed into other businesses. what do you think will happen after that in a one year or less term in regards to jobs impacted. ”
