Just because it does not work out for you at Citi, does not mean its not working out for others. Its not all bad and even if it is, then leave. Simple as that. It is what I’m doing right now. There are some things that aren’t working out for me, so I’m leaving to go somewhere else.
Just like how you as an employee, have several performance goals to meet and try to exceed, I gave Citi (CEO) my own performance goals to meet.
I find that Citi does not meet my requirements or expectations for viable employment much less exceed them. So, I’m going to have to let Citi go as an employer and will take my skills elsewhere.
Here’s the point where someone voices “the grass isn’t always greener” “its same at every bank”. Who says I’m staying in the financial sector? I find that often times people are so fearful of the unknown or starting over somewhere else that they tell themselves these things as a stop gap to keep them from trying. Basically convincing themselves that this is as good as its ever going to get so why bother trying to leave. Well, what ever gets you through the night. I mean if that’s working for you, sure, please proceed.
Maybe things will get better with time. 1 year? 5? dunno. Maybe not, so, Citi, I take my leave. Thanks for the train ride to my next destination.
