Employees are the ones who make any company great. We have so much great talent at VMware even after a lot of people decided to walk away in the last several months. Broadcom will make a huge mistake if they decide to get rid of the majority of those who are still here just to save a few bucks.

If we were a great, strong company, we wouldn't be getting acquired.
Not a few bucks, saving a lot of money is a key part of their acquisition value prop and VMware has a lot of fat to trim.
Great employees discovered a great gold mine called virtualization. After that, peacocks were doing their feather show for years to consume the gold.
Another dreamer posting wishful thinking. pls stop posting this fu----g nonsense. Look, I get that you want to see glass half full, but in this case...there is no glass.
you see, Hock sees people as piece parts in a factory. factory only functions when all parts in one place and the "master" watching the factory floor from the office above.
i have a friend in the BroadCon software business unit that was part of CA Tech. based upon that and what he's experienced the past 4 years it's going to get ugly. it's as simple as that,
@OP - that might be your value system if you were the head of a company, but it certainly isn’t Broadcom’s value system. There are no universal truths in this area.
Broadcom’s current and past business practices are well known and they value you as a tool to make money. They will buy the fewest and least expensive tools to get the job done with the most oppressive internal policies that you would associate more with working in an Amazon warehouse as compared to a “leading Silicon Valley company”
Employees are the ones who make any company great.
The value of employees is a bell curve distribution.
When the curve shifts leftwards on the X-axis, .....
It appears a leftward shift has been taking place for many years.
At the top, and all the way down.
Maybe great people but far too many to get the job done efficiently.
Don't think it would be a stretch to say some vmware depts with x10 the number of people in comparison to Broadcom depts, yet have same revenue and more profits. Broadcom will be refreshing when the dead weight is gone, you have strong focus and no longer say yes to every shiny opportunity.
OP, sadly you're deluded. Great people build a company, a strong client base and decent ARR make it a target for investment funded acquisition.
