Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

There is no progress with mediocrities

I decided to leave and the reason is that I can no longer stand the mediocrities that are here in higher positions. How can this company make any progress if mediocrities have more power than people who are really knowledgeable and skilled? It's impossible.

I agree somewhat. I could also be a Dunning Kruger effect.

@OP: so true! Not sure which BU you're in, but AXG is a case study of the Peter Principle, just a complete joke. FLM that has no business being managers and should've stayed ICs, and bad managers keep failing upwards to make even more impactful mistakes (looking at you ST!)

Welcome to Corporate America! you will find this in all big companies. At beginner is always a honeymoon but after a couple of years, you will be having the same thoughts and feelings about mediocrities in high positions. I know it :)
