Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

I'm really worried

Regardless of how this company is doing nowadays, I need a job and it would not suit me to lose it. It seems to me that I am in a hopeless situation because I still do not know if my medical status will be enough to get an exemption. Due to my specific health condition, I hesitate to get a jab. My question is is it really hard to get a medical exemption?

Lot's of non agreement employees preaching the jab is the only way.

The company has to come to the table with the majority of us.
Yes if you want to keep your management job you have to do whatever they say including getting injected with experimental dr-gs but you knew that when you took the job.

The vaccines are safe and effective. Don’t listen to all the nonsense to the contrary. Take the vaccine to protect yourself, not just because the company mandates it.

Don’t take the jab. And in the meantime as an avenue of protest only take a dump with the stall door wide open.

@OP Your employer, in this case UP, can legally* require you to be vaccinated in order to remain employed. A medical exemption requires a legitimate and diagnosed medical condition, whereby receiving the any of the FDA approved Covid-19 vaccines would cause demonstrable physical harm based on that condition.

For those unable/unwilling to be vaccinated, the company can require you to be tested regularly at your own expense as frequently as they wish, as long as the frequency is justified by CDC guidelines. This can add up quickly if they tell you to get tested daily.

*No, the injunctions issued by the 5th Circuit and the Kentucky District court don’t prevent private employers from requiring vaccinations. Stop saying it.

What worries me is that these fkn dr-g companies don’t even require the vaccine, if it’s so good why wouldn’t you get a vaccine from your own company if it’s proven to work? I feel like the sr leaders here or lack of don’t really care if the government gets blocked or not, they will stick with it so Lance can spout off about his company being a team player. The Harriman is already jacked because of the two dopes on each end of head givers house, what are they going to do fire all of us dispatchers? We should stick together but I know some of us won’t.
