Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA), also known as Trade Act

Anyone have positive results on using the benefits from the TAA?

This government benefit is a great bridge to transitioning to a new career or enhancing skills.

Would be nice to hear from former colleagues, mechanics, techs, and engineers on how they have moved on after leaving Boeing.

The TAA program has been very good. $30K to get my MBA. Thanks Boeing! Took all the bennies out after ILO and would NEVER come back. Thanks for the 23 years!

Hi @OP+1bqH3ZLH, don't listen to the jealous Boeing management trolls. I was ILO'd after 23 years of being too expensive to Cr-p-Boeing, but I rode the severance, took TAA and took out the pension and rolled it over to an IRA, rolled the 401K over too, so they can all k1ss my behind. Nothing they can hold over me now. Milking them through the TAA is an added bonus. Whether the trolls want to believe it or not, I'm getting my MBA and sticking Boeing through the TAA for $30K.

I am about to enroll in this program. I am not sure if this would help me. I am an engineer. I don't think I need any extra training.
I am concerned I could be pushed to accept a position unsuitable( i.e. CAD drafter) by the case manager, Any shared experience with this TAA program, it would be appreciated. Thanks!
