need a licence to be a taxi driver. that’s why a lot of BKR people get rejected they don’t just take anybody
I learned that pay isn’t everything. I made more at BKR, but at least the industry I’m in is not experiencing the same cuts and business most definitely isn’t cyclical.
Consider a career switch that requires a license, study hard and train up, and go for it.

Only way to keep a job at BH, walk around pretending you just sh--e your pants and you don’t want anyone to find out. Safest way to navigate, unless you run into someone throwing sh--e all over the place.
Ex aberdeen employees usually try to be a taxi driver if possible as the pay is good
Became a bailiff. First job was collecting overdue rent on a Baker yard.
Ex employees generally do well moving into things like house furniture removals, low level security like a night watchman or the prison service, catering services, driving heavy vehicles like a bus or farm tractor, shopkeeping, looking after farm animals etc.
@OP It depends on what you’re switching from and where you’re going.
I worked at BH until I saw the writing on the wall, then jumped to a private aerospace company. The change was easy (almost everything I was doing at BH carried over to my current position). I’ve experienced better pay, better stability, and (for the most part) better management.
If you’ve been doing something at BH that easily carries over to another industry you’ll probably do well. If not, take a few months to upskill then make the jump.
