AKBU is getting summer interns...at what point is it considered cruel and unusual to hire interns into an industry in its death throes?

To be fair, college kids might help in Alaska. How’s their latest exploration “big wins” coming?
It’s cruel and unusual punishment, to those who were layed off, to have any interns. Period. This reeks of ageism
Lay off employees that know what they’re doing and replace them with kids who are still in school. Yep. Solid business plan.
We need interns to justify all the HR people involved in university relations and recruiting. Plus our new hires are the only area that helps our D&I quotas. And we need D&I to justify all the people in HR who can’t seem to think about anything else.
Let me ask a stupid question: why do we need interns after laying off hundreds of people?
Poor interns. AKBU is such a s-show operation. Absolutely the worst millennial slugs work there, especially the butch. Management is so inept and lacks integrity. Most everyone in leadership positions would have never been selected by another capable company. In their positions, only because they exercise their knees a lot,
Lmao the useless, Paleolithic, leadership in AK absolutely nut at the opportunity to sc--w over someone as young as an intern
Interns will have to leave their Igloo's behind and travel south to Bville or Houston.
Don’t know that the industry is nearing its end but Alaska is cruel an unusual in its treatment of the industry.
Anybody going to explain to these folks that there is a near zero chance they get hired at COP, no matter what happens this summer?
