More GE HA gas turbine first stage bucket failures.
The GE 9HA Model gas turbines had design and quality issues, the most severe and expensive being catastrophic first stage bucket failures due to oxidation inside cooling passages from cost reduced vendor supply manufacturing methods that has caused GE huge liquidated damages in hundreds of millions in addition to over $13 million rotor damage for the last years startup failure.
The installation quality was horrible and has caused many severe startup failures like the unit coming down without oil because on failure to set up and test the DC emergency EBSOP oil pump correctly. Unfortunately GE does not believe in expertise anymore and that's why GE Power is failing.

How about it was a intentional power shutdown, to stop the sale of GE to a China owned company. As well as all the things going on in Germany, France and Italy! Lots of sh– going on, and it has NOTHING to do with layoffs!!
Is it GE equipment, Harbin equipment, or Russian equipment which failed here?

More quality issues from the good old GE Power! Get rid of the people who knew what they were doing. Turn around and replace them with a lower salary newb for engineering and ops leaders. Who would of known?
